Flowering plants (food) evolved at over 1000 PPM and we haven't even made it to halfway to that Ideal level. Greenhouse tomato growers use CO2 enrichment to 1200 PPM. So much CO2 became calcium carbonate (chalk) that it is impossible to ever achieve the ideal 1000 PPM outdoors. Gas and oil already running out. Photosynthesis splits water releasing oxygen and (in the Calvin cycle) producing Glucose by binding the H+ (hydrogen ions) with CO2. Without photosynthesis there would be no oxygen to breath, food to eat or timber to make homes with. Methane uses oxygen to break down. Without CO2 photosynthesis can't release oxygen, the atmosphere becomes more and more methane less and less oxygen, death by suffocation
