@pduffy421 Taxing the air we breathe was an ultimate goal & tricky to achieve on inward breath (Oxygen), so we make them pay carbon tax on the out breath (CO2) Ha, ha, Haa!!

@theSTUNTHAMSTER we are not adding CO2, we are recycling CO2, so that plants can photosynthesize release oxygen & produce Glucose = food. Earthworms with a tendency to believe they look like a God of their exact nationality

@garyt123 Before the Industrial Revolution C02 was dangerously low at 180 PPM. Photosynthesis stops working at less than 150 PPM - that's how close to World Came to death! Flowering plants (food) evolved at over 1000 PPM and we haven't even made it to halfway to that Ideal level. Greenhouse tomato growers use CO2 enrichment to 1200 PPM. So much CO2 became calcium carbonate (chalk) that it is impossible to ever achieve the ideal 1000 PPM outdoors. Gas and oil already running out. Photosynthesis splits water releasing oxygen and (in the Calvin cycle) producing Glucose by binding the H+ (hydrogen ions) with CO2. Without photosynthesis there would be no oxygen to breath, food to eat or timber to make homes with. Methane uses oxygen to break down. Without CO2 photosynthesis can't release oxygen, the atmosphere becomes more and more methane less and less oxygen, death by suffocation

@garyt123 if you stop breathing for a minute your oxygen level becomes dangerously low and when you take your next breath, it Rises dramatically in seconds. That Is how it is with CO2

@garyt123 The point is plants breathe in CO2 and use it to store energy for Life Processes. Humans breathe out CO2 having used the stored energy for Life Processes. Photosynthesis uses energy from the sun to repeat the cycle
