  1. ​ @GrainMuncher constituents writing to their representatives for assistance is an age old custom, especially where potential injustice may be involved. There is nothing wrong with interested parties of all sorts, business, ngo, etc and foreign governments to present their cases to legislators - it has to be transparent and above board, with serious consequences for violations. Congress doesn't work in a vacuum, and an important aspect of their job is to listen to what varied interests have to say, agree or disagree. The alternative is bribing or clueless government

  2.  @Zappappappappa  individual members of aipac will have to register - but the organization itself is like a Chinese -American interests or Egyptian-American interest group, even if many irrational people think Jews and Israel are different. Also any foreign interest pac not registered as a foreign agent will be prosecuted
