  5.  @arikohane2720  they came from central Europe not the Levant, even if they were distinct from their neighbors. They were descended from partial non European ancestors. Sephardis are from Europe but it was the only Europe that was Muslim, Arab, and Berber as well as Christian. Pre Israel holy lands were not European dominated, but the founding of the state was.
