  1. I think Russians didn't conquer Bakhmut faster because they need a controllable black hole for Ukrainian troops, remember it's a war of attrition, and it's better to have it localized

  2. An interesting topic is that countries friendly to Russia are shielded against inflation to some point, by significantly lower prices for oil/gas/grains and other commodities
