They won't ship a $2000 laptop with a 1366*768 screen, but will ship a $1700 one with 8gb of ram, and 256 gb of SSD - specs that weren't okay 6 years ago😂😂😂

Times of Apple premium quality and premium specs are long gone, but now Apple is a fashion statement

Older MacBooks were of higher quality, but 2013 is in grey area 😅😅😅

@crashbandicoot4everr haha 😂 even of it was so, 16gb is also a small amount 🤏 16gb was cool 4+ years ago 😄

@MAGAMAN that's why I don't like modern MacBooks. In the past you could easily and cheaply upgrade ram, HDD/SSD, and battery, while having all the ports you can imagine. And old MacBooks even looked cooler. Modern MacBooks are 50% slimmer, and up to 70% lighter - not the most useful specs, for me even irrelevant 😕

@thomgizziz it's up to 70%, comparing to a really old MacBooks. Average weight saving is lower, around 50-60% ( from 2.4 kg in 2006 to 0.9 -1.3 kg in Air models from 2012, and newer). Anyways the actual weight saving is irrelevant, even for traveling, because you have to put it in the laptop bag/case, add all the needed accessories.

@zellzoii nope they are not, lots of tests prove it, a $2000 PC destroys a $4000 Mac studio M2,

@zellzoii nope, saving even 400W of electricity is irrelevant compared to Apple prices. And 400W of saving is only possible under full load. Even if I was saving 400w at 10 hours ( not possible but let's pretend) I would be saving 4 kWh per day @ 0.3$/kWh that would be 1.2 $ per day or 430$ per year - not relevant to anyone, and that is an extremely improbable use case scenario in which PC would be used at max load for 10 h per day, oh and my electricity price is also lower than $0.3
