  5.  @henryvagincourt4502  They are just OLD. Castering nose wheel and crappy brakes with low speed handling problems . Once they are in the air they handle well and they are not bad on fuel ...Designed in the 70's and it shows.

The UK is taking on the M4 type to replace it's SA80 type bullpups which had to happen eventually just like AWAX etc The UK is 20 years behind the US and likes to give all the government contracts to their friends, These are the people who knocked back the Whitworth rifle and considered the Thompson a Gangster gun. Until they decided they needed them. Then built the cheapest tube gun in the world.
