  1. It is very difficult to tell from the video what the problem was. Tims assessment is spot on as altitude is the big issue as far as parachutes are concerned. If the aircraft is unable to climb it is time to "pop the brolly" control or no control which hints at a power problem. Also looking at the footage available I think airspeed was very low which would explain the wing starting to drop, again pointing to power failure.
