  1. It doesn't surprise me at all that they only got backlash from the US. You guys have such strictly prescriptive beauty standards and are really, really heavy make-up users from my European perspective. I'd say that probably at least 80% of women here almost never wear make-up except for special occasion and stuff, and then 15% who wear a little bit of eye liner or lipstick every day, and 5% who actually do full face make-up every day. But it seems like in America it is the standard for women to go full face every single day, or else they get asked question like why they look so tired and sick. So I can definitely see how it feels like a harsher breach of privacy when your culture is like that, I guess.
