@omnizen I had an American online friend for a while, and I remember clearly how he once recorded a video for me of him driving to a friend of his. That friend still lived at home and his parents were rich, and it was this huge house in a suburban area with other huge houses. And the roads were completely fucked. Potholes and cracks everywhere. I'm Dutch and our roads are arguably some of the best regarding quality, and it shocked me to see roads being so broken, even though I knew the US has a big problem with infrastructure upkeep. But that video really encapsulated America well: huge million dollar private houses, on a broken and cracked road which hasn't seen any public spending on it in years.
