  1. It's funny because we Dutch people fucking loathe capital C Cyclists. You know the ones on racing bikes in their spandex. They're like, the most universally hated 'benign' group because they tend to be total assholes on the road and think the entire road belongs to them just because they go fast. They practically run normal cyclists off the bike paths and never signal and never give a fuck about other traffic. Seriously, ask some Dutch friends of your what they think of racing cyclists and you'll get universal hate, lmao. If you google 'racefietsers' or 'wielrenners' (racing cyclists) it automatically suggests 'asociaal' as the first suggestion 😂 Or just google 'racefietsers/wielrenners' alone and you'll pretty much only get articles about people hating on them. I always make the joke that if you want to exterminate any group in the Netherlands, just start with wielrenners and you'll be so goddamn popular nobody will care who you'll do next. If Hitler had started with them we'd probably all voluntarily speak German now!
