And Operator Starsky is the bravest Ukrainian. It's just he's too busy making videos to fight at the front.
4
There will be no Minsk 3. This wont be a ceasefire, Ukraine will cede territory.
4
The problem is if they decide to send you to the front you have to go, no matter what your job is in theory.
4
Good luck with that.
3
@polarvortex3294 They really dont have the population for such a huge army and not nearly enough equipment.
2
There is no legal mechanism to 'seize' sovereign assets. They can only be frozen.
2
Financial sanctions would work if the economy was really about banks and money. But it isn't, it's about production and energy.
2
@matthendricks9666 what do you want us to do? we can print money but we don't have much industry any more. can't rebuild that really.
2
@thedeadmoneyallstars he's right and everyone knows it.
2
@williamkevinjames we don't have any land forces that could handle more than a regional skirmish of brief duration. it's all we can afford, the country is broke
2
The dollar and ruble are not traded.
1
Obviously the situation is confusing when the things you claim to believe, probably disingenuously, are completely false.
1
Donate all of your money to Ukraine.
1
@Aussie-Mocha No you don't.
1
Hasn't Ukraine carried out actual terrorist acts in Russia? The car bombing of Dugin's daughter, for example.
1
He's not the legitimate president anyway so resigning means nothing
1
All the infrastructure of life that keeps Ukrainians alive today was built by the Soviet Union. Since independence in 1991 Ukraine has built almost nothing.
1
@SiliconCurtain I'm saying it's strange that Ukrainians always talk about how dreadful the Soviet Union was and how it harmed Ukraine but their whole country still runs on Soviet infrastructure.
1
It is not true that Ukraine's Western supporters sent Ukraine replacement power transformers. The only country in the world that can manufacture those Soviet transformers is Russia.
1
Ukraine was a democracy and was universally recognised to be a democracy prior to the 2014 revolution. Its elections were observed by independent election monitors.
1
if it's Patriots they are too expensive to risk at the front
1
@warwickbrown18 it is broke.
1
That's one way to put it. Certainly Europe will need less oil and gas as it deindustrialises.
1
She should probably concentrate on fixing Ukraine's problems rather than Russia's.
1
Reported as hate speech.
1
Not justifying anything but didn't the US violate Iraq's sovereign borders in 2003? Based on lies?
1
I highly doubt that. For one thing, the electricity supply in Ukraine would not be sufficient for expansion of industry.
1
@Aussie-Mocha All Ukraine's arms factories have been hit by missiles and put out of action, as have the major maintenance facilities.
1
@buddyrojek9417 you cant use solar to power industry
1
@buddyrojek9417 you need coke and limestone to make steel economically. China produces a billion tons of steel a year. How much steel does Australia produce with its fresnel lenses? is it even as much as 10 tons a year? i can't find anything about that on google, did you make it up?
1
@buddyrojek9417 China produces a billion tons of steel a year, 10 times the amount America produces. China produces more than 66% of all the coking coal produced worldwide which is used in its own steel industry. Australia's coking coal production is barely visible on a graph that shows China's production. Australia is not an important country industrially. As for going nuclear, nuclear power stations are extremely expensive and take decades to build. It's not something that can be done easily.

It turned out that it just didn't matter that McDonalds and Starbucks left Russia. Burgers and coffee continued to be available.
