  2. the problem isnt heat, its lack of resources, particularly fossil-fuel derived fertiliser and diesel fuel. the issue you mention isn't very significant compared to those.

  3.  @davidgoodnow269  True but lacking rain isnt a big issue in a lot of places. Lacking fertiliser will kill us much faster. If we have no fertiliser at all most people will die of starvation after a couple of harvests. Modern agriculture is the conversion of fossil fuels into food.

  4. theres not much point in the currency/money printing rabbit hole. all that really matters is resource availability, particularly energy resources. gold or bitcoin or whatever makes no difference to that.

  5. Farmers were paid not to farm in some cases because the land had already been destroyed by erosion or was exhausted. There was more than enough food available because Europe no longer needed the major food imports that it did during World War I and its aftermath.
