  1. We will have to wait until tomatoes can be grown without heating. Could be a few months. The greenhouses could not afford to operate or were shut down because they would have competed with consumers' winter heating needs.

  5.  @benyboybob  The shortages are only the beginning and will get worse across all food production. Nothing at all can be grown without fertiliser nowadays.

  6. High energy prices = high food prices. Farmers essentially turn fossil fuels into food.
