Yeah that's right. I keep explaining to them that their continued existence depends on diesel fuel and they can't grasp it. I am far greener in my lifestyle than any of those idiots but I'm not insane enough to think we can live without oil.

@bjorn1583 There are many more issues than that. One being that we don't have the grid capacity to charge them and never will.

@Stepbystep74 erm, no they would not. i can tell you're clueless so i won't bother to 'debate' it with you. The Dunning Kruger is strong in this one.

@ferrumignis he thinks its just a matter of spending some money and hey presto you have an electric grid triple its previous size. he probably imagines it would take a couple of months or something. he's too clueless to bother with.

This sounds like a great way to ride the lightning as the old Metallica album put it. If sun shining on the chargers is a problem, why arent they covered with some sort of roofing? Oh yeah, that would involve spending money.

the more water the better right? everyone knows water and electricity go great together. just ask electric eels.

@AnthonyScottGames its always rich retired people who own these stupid things and can afford to spend hours charging them.

@Stepbystep74 Oh please. Let's not even start this, it gives me a headache. You don't know what you don't know.

@Stepbystep74 i'm reading English words but I can't make any sense out of what you're saying. If we were to power all our vehicles with electricity instead of fossil fuels, we would need a grid many times the size it is currently. Do you agree with that statement or not?
8
@Stepbystep74 Dear God, you just don't get it, do you? Absolutely clueless. We cannot run the economy on 'electricity'. Let's try some logic without getting into the details that you don't know or understand. If expanding the grid is so easy, why are there power shortages in various US states and why is electricity in the UK some of the most expensive in the world despite all our wonderful wind turbines?

@papalegba6796 Clinically insane. Sad! Many such cases.

The only reason the electric grid exists is that after we started powering trucks, cars, ships and trains with oil we then had spare coal to burn in power stations.

@Stepbystep74 to power 10s of milions of vehicles with electricity instead of fossil fuels would require much much more than a 10% addition to the grid. you are insane. absolutely batshit crazy and demented. your maths is wildly wrong. it is not 3.5 miles per kilowatt hour, it is 3.5 kilowatt hours per mile. thats a major error. why not start there and check your figures and generally learn something about the topic. you imagine a lovely future with 8 billion humans on the planet with no pollution but that isnt possible. you, me, all of is would die in aobut 3 weeks without diesel fuel, fertiliser, steel, all the things that fossil fuels give us.
