  1. Most Americans live in far flung suburbs and have long commutes as well as driving everywhere for all their other needs. An EV just doesn't work for them.

  3. Tesla ran out of road. They can't build a $25k car in America and Americans don't want one anyway. They can't make a $25k car outside America because China does it much better. Tesla is done.

  5.  @BlueBD  Yes indeed. The Uk where I live is a very crowded urbanised country and a lot of people, such as me, can't really home charge. One of those electric scooters would work for me if I needed something zip around on locally.
