@siboysulaeman1539 China trades with the whole world, tariffs on US trade would only affect a fraction of a fraction of their overall trade.

@dlukton is that actually true though? and if it is, US companies are obviously happy with the deal, so what's the problem?

@dlukton if they weren't happy, they wouldn't do it. they can take it or leave it.

dlukton what is in the long run interest of the US? allowing companies to make their own decisions. that's called the free market. of course the Chinese arent forcing anyone to do anything. if the companies dont like it, they can walk away. assuming its even happening in the first place. nobody ever seems able to point out any specific instances, leading me to believe this issue is largely fictional. as to b) i dont know what you mean by steal. if companies gave tech to china thats not stealing. perhaps you mean hacking. just about anything has some kind of military application, so the point seems rather empty.

@dlukton who said they were giving away mlitary secrets? how would it be legal for them to do so? if they're breaking the law, prosecute them.
