That's a problem but even worse is the energy it takes to produce hydrogen.

@trungson6604 they have not been solved. hydrogen has specific uses and is produced close to where it is consumed. its used for 'cracking' in oil refineries.

@geodive5542 there is nothing that can contain hydrogen due to the size of the molecules.

@Darisiabgal7573 when you make hydrogen from water, you use up energy to separate it from oxygen. of course you use a lot more energy doing that than you actually get back from burning the hydrogen. it's a big net energy loser and we don't have the spare energy to support it.

@alexlucassen8489 but then you have to expend even more energy producing ammonia. and to be honest we need ammonia more as fertiliser than fuel. there's already a shortage.
