There is no such thing as deglobalisation. We can't start building things like smart phones with locally sourced materials. We just won't have them any more.

@stkrrauch1 you could have said the USA was a gas station in 1941 and it won the war precisely because it was a gas station and had so much fuel to power tanks and planes.

@MrAjfish Yes that's true but it could never have happened without the USA's energy. Together they made it very powerful. For example the construction of the Empire State building, the Hoover Dam, etc. Only America at the time had enough cheap resources to do things like that.
