That's what money is, the question is is that what bitcoin is. Creating bitcoin consumes energy. That doesn't automatically mean bitcoin is worth anything.

This is all solving problems that aren't really important. It's great that i can go to Nigeria and pay someone on a Saturday when the banks are closed with my mobile phone, but that isn't a problem I or most people need to be solved.

@SAL-fs1mr its no use for poor people, and most people are poor. you cant do small transactions with bitcoin and buying and selling it on a small scale isnt worth it either. it's ok as a speculation for wealthier people.
