@Schwartzbruder1 I got that part, but again, they have godlike powers here. All Kryptonians did, but they just had these World Engines, so why let them go to waste? IDFK what his primary motivation was, waste not, or want not, what exactly is to be gained from turning a planet that makes your race into literal Super-men with puny mortals to rule into one where you have to repopulate it, from scratch, without the ability to freaking Fly? Kal El survived here for decades, so it's safe to assume there's no lethal side effects. Just the good ones, so what exactly is gained by destroying the cities Humans built, the puny mortals that worship you as Gods, already produce plenty of food to lay at your feet, and the power to Fly? Not even counting the frikken lazer beams, all he had to do is not fight the 1 Kryptonian that was already here, live forever, and not make it too much like Krypton. (You know, the planet that got blowed up from mismanagement in the first place?) If I didn't know any better, I'd think he just wanted to watch the world burn, again. He sure didn't have a problem with his race wiping itself out back on Krypton. Lest we forgeth the fact that Jor-el was arrested, and killed in the act of preserving their race. Zod was the one who was trying to stop him.
