Unfortunately, the Hill Effect is already taken, so you can't really use that scientifically. It's kinda like the Holtzman Effect, that allows instantaneous space-travel to everywhere in the universe at once, invisibility, shields that stop bullets but not knives (And have Mutually Assured Destruction with Lazers) and make glow-globes float behind you when you walk across the room with a box full of pain. That naturally begs the question "Which Holtzman effect?" The whole point of designating The Hill Effect® is to differentiate between it, and any other effect that might be at play, like the Slinky Effect that is essentially the same thing in reverse, or the aerodynamic effect when a Hill acts like the top of a wing in a steady wind. That's why we ®egister Trademarks. To find out if anyone has already established a Hill Effect, so we can change it to the Kyle effect, to avoid any confusion.

Unfortunately, what makes a surface ideal to absorb light also makes it ideal to emit light. So, that black interior may make it super-dark for Visible light, it's probably fairly bright in Infrared, unless you also super-cooled it. I would actually line it in alluminized glass, seal, evacuate, and cool it. Of course, the alluminum layer is reflective, but if there's no light to reflect. A polished aluminum surface is less than ideal for emitting Black Body radiation. (At room temperatures, that'd be Infrared.)

...if you use your muscles. Darth Vader can do that from across the room, without touching you. Sometimes he gets up close, and personal, because that's more threatening, but. "I find your lack of faith disturbing." He's not using his muscles, there. So, he doesn't have to worry about normal problems like Balance. It's a Power move, but even if you're as strong as say The Mountain (You're not) you're not rooted to the ground, like a mountain. You'd fall over, or have to lean way back. I've seen Undertaker choke-slam some pretty hefty dudes, but he leans way back, for balance. He doesn't have The Force to hold himself up, so he had to use Gravity. I'm assuming Thor uses Mjolnir, there's definitely some Gravity/Momentum manipulation in that interstellar drive, but we're talking about a dude that can throw a hammer, hold onto it, and fly through the air that way. So, let's just say he probably knows the secret techniques to ignore puny Gravity. You don't.

A similar move is the car-throw. That's a pretty popular move to prove you're really super duper strong. Okay, now how much do you weigh? (Skipping past the structure of a Car, which is not designed to be picked up, and chucked around by metahumans. We have jack-points for using a Jack without dropping a car.) If it's less than 2 tons, you're going to push yourself <that way, and the car is going to drop V. That way. No matter how strong you are, you're pushing a CAR. If you push the car harder, you're going to go <That way a little faster, but the 2 tonnes doesn't stop being 2 tonnes. If you are also 2 tonnes, then you split the force of the throw. You go <that way, and the car goes> that way at about half the speed. Same with catching a car speeding down the road.
