@flobbie87 Plants turn LIGHT and carbon dioxide, into sugar (and Oxygen) When there's light. When it's dark, they exhale trace amounts of Carbon Dioxide, and Water for example, at night. The oxygen is a byproduct, so is the water, and so is the miniscule amount of CO2. However, rotting plants, also release Methane, and CO2. Also, Humans, Concrete production, Cars, Semi trucks, Trains, and Power Plants. But they're technically right. Plants can, sometimes release, a little CO2.

Probably every "Wise man" from myth said that, at some point. Hey, Einstein, where do I put this? IDK, over there somewhere. The myth being that Einstein was a brilliant man, so therefore, he spent all this time talking about stupid people. That's where we get all these quotes about stupid people from Einstein. (Or did Mark Twain say that?) Confucius say: "I don't know." A lot of stuff we "Know" Socrates said are actually Plato saying "Socrates said..."

It's the format. You ask a question, hold out the mic, and then edit it down to all the funniest answers. Obviously, the right answers aren't as entertaining, but it's not like this is a new schtick. So, I guess the answer is because Ed Sullivan did it, and it made people a lot of money.

We can't pave the planet, plant a little grass out front, mow it every weekend, and drive a Tesla. We still cut down all the forests, and pave the planet. That little bit of lawn doesn't make up for your roof tiles, and you're still having everything (Including that Tesla) shipped to your door, with diesel.

@flobbie87 All of it? Lots of different places, including water, and nutrients dissolved in that water. Hydrogen is the most common element in the universe. It's also used like Pennies in organic Chemistry. Just about every single molecule, in all these reactions, other than Carbon Dioxide is literally coated in Hydrogen. I guess the answer is the hydrogen comes from the Big Bang. Everything else was fused in stars, out of Hydrogen.

@flobbie87 I didn't think you're "Wrong." But just for the sake of Chemistry, water is the substrate that all life as we know it is dissolved in. Also, it's the hardest molecule to get hydrogen out of. It takes more energy to pry the ears off that oxygen than to rip 2 triple covalent nitrogen atoms apart, and there's a whole nitrogen cycle to do that, despite the fact that air is 3/4 nitrogen. So, why don't you extend me the courtesy of not assuming I'm wrong, either.
