When it was made? The Ford Tempo (Mondeo if you're on the left side of the road) was such a revolution when it came out, that people didn't want to buy it, because it looked funny. 5 years later, and everyone made their cars look like that. Then, Ford unveiled the Taurus, which became the "Shape of tomorrow." So, the most generic car today was not the most generic car, when it was made. The 124 only BECAME the most generic car, because it was copied, and put onto signs. When it came out, it was groundbreaking.
