"She was able to confirm that the stones aligned perfectly with the sun and the moon..." When the circles were erected? She does realize that the progression of the earth's axis isn't consistent, and hasn't been for billions of years, right? In 12,000 BCE, Vega was the pole star, nowhere near Ursa Minor. Because the axis precesses, as it has done ever since the world started spinning. Since the (Greek) Zodiac was written, a 13th constellation (Ophiuchus) has moved into the plane of the ecliptic. So, isn't it convenient that it just so happened to line up, perfectly, with the sun AND moon (Who's movements are so unpredictable, we've only recently created a consistently accurate predictive model, with computers) again thousands of years later? Looking for the conclusion, and finding it isn't Science. It's closer to Faith.

Look at what's missing from these pictures: The construction is incomplete, the stones are weathered, some of them are gone, there might be some wooden structure that rotted away, and the alignment of them is relative to the position of the observer. Where are you standing when you see the sun rise in between those 2 weathered stones over there, the center? Where's the center, and how was it marked? When was this place built, and where what the Horizon back then? Let's say it was a round 2,500 years ago. Where there trees over there, on that ridge, when the sun rose, 2,500 years ago? Has that ridge eroded any? That's your horizon, now, where the sun is rising, when you line up to see what stones are "Aligned" with the sun rise. Is that evidence that the Ancients (Also, who set those stones up in the first place?) set it up to align with the sun rise, behind that hill, countless centuries beforehand? Okay, then why didn't they mark the spot where you're supposed to stand?
