Okay, is she Mary of Bethany, Mary of the Tower, or Mary of Magdala? A major problem arises from the "Magdalene," which like Mary wasn't her name. In Greek, it would be Maria, and Magdala means Tower. It was also a town on the Sea of Gallilli. Bethany is nowhere near Magdala. It might be a different Magdala, like I said, it just means Tower. I don't know, I'm not asking for an answer, I doubt we'll ever know short of inventing Time Travel, but it's one of those interesting questions. We do know that she was called sinful, dirty, and unholy, more than even Judas was. That kinda implies that she wasn't well loved by the people that wrote these Gospels.
