  1. I can't call Game of Thrones fans "Casuals." I know too many of them. I have a lot of them in my family. Twilight fans are "Casuals." Harry Potter fans are relatively casual. GoT fans are fucking hardcore. If J.R.R. Martin put his name on it, even if they never played a Soulslike before, they will learn this game, in excruciating detail. They will finish it on Hard Mode. (Or for Fromsoft, normal mode) Just to find all the Easter eggs. Skyrim fans are casuals, because Skyrim had an Easy Mode.

  2. J.R.R. Martin already has them trained to watch their favorite characters die horrible deaths. Horrible deaths. They are prepared to fall in love with a character, only to see them gang raped, and skinned alive. They will keep watching until the end, 3 seasons after it's effectively over. They're pretty much the only fandom I can reasonably expect to get Soulslike, as their first video game. They are ready to see their own character die, horribly, over and over again.
