  1. Ironically, Sulfides reflect sunlight, before they heat up the surface. (To be absorbed in Greenhouse Gasses.) So, cleaning up one of the causes of Acid Rain actually accelerated the Greenhouse Effect. If it ain't 1 thing, it's 2.

  2. Here's the thing: Ignorance, and Incompetence are the default settings. Education, and training, even Science is ultimately the pursuit to understand everything, which is never ending. We're never going to understand the universe, it's too big. However, it's in our nature to make things up. That's why wars were fought over whether the sun was a boat, or a chariot, until we started to understand nuclear fusion. There's more to learn about astrophysics than we will ever know. That's where Dunning-Kruger comes from: The desire for knowledge makes it even harder to admit the truth, we don't know.
