There's a book called "palestina ex monumentis veteribus illustrata" (palestine illustrated from ancient monuments) by Adriaan Reland who described the Palestine at the very end of the 17th centrury (or maybe some of the beginning). It says there are hardly any people at all there, but the vast majority are Jews. Some are Christians. Some very rare occasions of muslims, mainly Bedouin (who are not Palestinian). So where where did the Arabs come from, and how did they become the majority? At a certain point, Jews from Europe started to come to Palestine. As a response, Arabs came and were brought by the Ottomans to Palestine. They were in the land less than 150 years.

Easy: Palestinians. He was a close friend with the Mufti, the leaders of the Arabs who lived in Palestine back then. Not hardgo guess.

@markaxworthy2508 I think you missed the part where the video said that it was decided that the Jews should accept the land as they are the natives, but still, they split it.

@Jennianner Prussia and Germany are the same country, but with different names. Did the borders change since? Yeah. Did the kind of regime changed? Yeah. But it's the same country, though it lost some of its territory. But Prussia was an empire, it conquered lands of other countries. One of them is Poland. The same way Austro Hungarian didn't stay as big. By the way, Turkey is the "successor" of the Ottoman Empire. You can't say the Ottoman Empire is gone, it just shrinked. The same with the Greek, the Romans and so many others in history (though the name sometimes remained)

The Arabs never really lived under a country as we know of today. I don't think they would mind making it all one big country. If the people of the West Bank and Gaza behaved , they wouldn't be in that position, But they really like their terror. They had their chance to be a part of Jordan. They ruined it with their own hands! (as a nation, unrelated to piece of land).

@R2023-NV You are confuding occupiers with residents. When the occupiers were gone, so were most of those who came from those. It's true, some Chrisitans stayed. Hardly any Arabs, though. They only got back less than 150 before Israel was establlshed. Look for "palestina ex monumentis veteribus illustrata"

Well, yeah, the Arab empire (whcih is the called the Muslim empire for some unknown reason) did rule the land at the time. But it was kicked out at 1099 by the crusaders. Arabs weren't back in the land until the 18th century. I mean, with your logic, half of the world owns Israel.

I really don't understand how or why this story happened.... And the funny part is that the Arab state could be connexted to Jordan. They really wouldn't have cared.

@markaxworthy2508 I guess you didn't listen too careful in your history class, so let me help: The gehtto was one of the many ways to make the life of the Jews miserable . But it wasn't what they were afrer. They wanted to have 0 Jews in the world. They didn't achieve that but it did get rid of 1/3 of the Jewish population at the time. The Jewish people still didn't get bacl to those numbers 80 years later. In the case of Gaza and the West Bank, the only reason they occupied Gaza or the West Bank is a war that started, among others, the countries who conquered them after Israel's indepent war (Jordan and Egypt). Israel never annexed those terrotories, so fornally, they are not part of Israel. We can argue if the Jews should or shouldn't have settles in those places, but the facts stil remain: terror emerged from both terrirotories, even if not in the same point in time. Israel left the Gaza stip not leaving a single Jew there. The way for an idependent country never was shorter. But it all changed when a terror regime took over the Gaza strip, giving a clear message it is inly interesed in the annihilation of Israel. So Israel decided to block all the entrance. But they have one more border, with Egypt. They also closed it. Your comparison is irrielvant as the Nazis did it to anhiliate the Jews, the Israeli did it to protect themselves. The Nazis were never threatened by the Jews, Israel is threatened by the Palestinians even before it was established formally.

@HVACSoldier Are you sure? Jordan was never a Jewish territory. Ot most of the time (when it existed) anyway... And where did the plan to throw all the Arabs?
