@dallon507 it must be lonely being a fulltime asshole. Do you have any other "hobbies?" Should we check your HDD for CP?

Green energy has nothing to do with lithium. It's another extraction product that doesn't move the needle one way or the other. Green energy is about generation, not storage. And we're still not doing enough to clean up the grid in general, though some countries are doing it better than others.

Ukraine withdrew from Kursk at just the right time to avoid a rout. Almost like they wanted Russia to waste their time building up a for huge counteroffensive....
1
@anousenic it's a war of attrition, it has been from the beginning. Russia has more of everything, but can they really afford to keep the war going as long as Ukraine can afford to drag it out?

If your employer is in NYC, and are allowed to work from home, and NYC is not your home, then you're going to move back to where your home is and take your salary with you. I see out of state license plates all over the midwest because people are moving wherever they find affordable and livable communities, and doing their jobs from a virtual office. This is a good thing IMO, it will keep rust belt cities from disappearing completely.

@RFDN0 they're not going to be massive. We're talking about a half million people (assuming they all left for the same reasons) distributed across all 49 other states, and some may have even left the country. But what they bring to those other communities is an upper middle class income to support local businesses, so the more the merrier.
1
@RFDN0 what industries are those? Texas has always been strong in defense, yet the people who run the state have taken an anti-war stance just to "own the libs." The new Tesla factories aren't even close to the claimed capacity.
1
@RFDN0 did you come up with anything?

It's a type of self-loathing from those who (rightfully) criticize Western colonialism. And on that point, to paraphrase Jeff Lebowski: they're not wrong, they're just assholes. So they look to China, India, Russia or whoever for some other budding superpower they can rally behind and feel better about, even though they all do the same nefarious shit.

So giving US ships a discount would violate neutrality, but accepting billions in development funds centered around trade and the movement of goods specifically from China, while simultaneously severing ties with Taiwan does not? Okay. Explain to me how the canal can remain neutral when the government of Panama clearly is not.

@ I don't think the guy in charge cares about any of that
1
@noone6896 if you're supporting Russia, no one cares. Zero concern here for illegal invaders fighting for Lebensraum.
1
@ებრაელივაჭარი you're oversimplifying the issue with the port as well. Two of the TBC bank's founders were charged with money laundering and the American investors pulled out. No money, no project. Good luck with the Chinese, pretty gross to partner with a country doing genocide on indigenous people.

Isn't it crazy that the border patrol can catch all those migrants, but none of those gun smugglers?
1
@johncrocker4209 sounds like you like the politics a lot, including the prevailing notions about other races when your ancestors were allegedly dragged there against their will.
1
what the hell are you even talking about?

@jamesamos6565 When you post a comment it helps if you include a timestamp for the part of the video you're commenting on

The momentum is on Russia's side? What's that, a 1% territory gain?

24:48 the US can declare fentanyl and/or meth to be chemical warfare agents, and so Article 51 would apply.

What I want to know is what army they are so afraid of that they are worried about controlling mountain passes? Seems like they have a military that is technologically advanced enough that marching routes shouldn't matter very much. They're not the goddamned Roman Legion.

@sergeykish and the only NATO nukes are in Turkey, Turkey absolutely wants them there, and they've been there for half a century. Turkey thus forces Russia to treat them as a peer. Strong defense actually enables trade with strategic competitors.
