@czwitek1995 who invaded who? You're looking to blame the victims.

Sad but entirely possible. UA without its entire legal territory is an economic weakling.

Yes, it really is that simple. I like the idea of Ukraine becoming an armory for other countries though, that would draw their interest and force them to look at UA as an investment in their own future. Ukrainian scientists and engineers were arguably the best in the Soviet Union.

@keto0303 sounds like copium to me, Ivan.

@brandonlance3601 so it's okay for Russia to put troops directly on the ground in UA territory, attacking UA military and civilians alike, but not ok for the US to merely advise UA in any way, shape or form? Because if you weren't so arrogant that you could actually hear yourself, you'd realize that's exactly what you're saying.

@Teutathis Russia seems to have forgotten they are a nuclear power. A test in their own territory might be a good reminder.... but they have never done one, have they? Always in another non-Russian republic, not their own.
2
@keto0303 they are regularly doing nuclear bomb tests in Russia? News to me, champ.
2
@vdotme which rights did they repeal?
2
@elysiumfields no one is talking about the Minsk accords, which give third parties (who are also direct signatories of the accords) inspection access. Russia, one of those signatories, denied any and all third party inspections of the territory, ensuring they'd have full control of all propaganda emanating from the conflict in Donbas.

@joni8090 France?

@AthenaTennosN Orthodoxy, Autocracy, and Nationality. It goes back to Nicholas I in 1825.

@Mesopotamia-v6d in one week Russia lost 10,000 soldiers. The DPRK troops solved nothing.

@princeRT21 no one wants to admit that Russia is a fascist state, even though all the signs are there plain as day. Even the remains of their communist party are actually nazbols. Should we let fascist states invade others just because they also contain some fascist elements? That's just a by product of democracy, you have to put up with idiots in your back yard. The fact that the Ukrainian fascists were the first to volunteer to fight the "separatists" literally means nothing. The Right Sektor and Azov never held any seats in UA government, and they still don't. It was best to let them do what they wanted to do, and it gave UA time to get their regular forces organized. If China invaded the USA and the KKK was the first to volunteer to fight them, why would I want to stop them? We'd need every hand against potentially the largest army ever fielded in history.

@Krishna0666 Russia is mostly empty. It has half the population of the USA, which is also mostly empty. If anything, it makes them less of a threat and more of a hassle for them to defend.
1
@FRM101 Putin has already threatened those things, both directly and indirectly through state propaganda.
1
@keto0303 is "russophobe" supposed to be an insult? Millions of Europeans have a perfectly legitimate reason to have a "phobia" about Russians, and it's entirely because of Russia's actions throughout history. There's nothing unreasonable about it, in fact they'd be fools if they didn't find Russia sus.
1
@keto0303 whatever you say, Ivan. Why don't you flag my comments for racism then? See where that gets you. News flash: Russians aren't a race, and you just revealed your own racism by making that claim. The Nazi Germans claimed they were the master race, now you're doing the same. You lose.
1
@keto0303 haha ok Ivan. I guess you overlook the fact that there IS distrust of Germany to this day, or that the Russians helped Hitler to rearm and train the Wehrmacht before he turned on them, lol.
1
@willc1294 well according the the RT bots it did, and that's why RF invaded. But of course it didn't, and everyone knows that UA had a long list of requirements to fulfill if it did.
1
@alext7202 and they didn't. Russia did not allow inspections of the territory, so where is your proof?
1
@alext7202 the parties to Minsk 2 which explicitly calls for inspections. Do you even know anything about the document or do you just spew RT sourced fake leftist bullshit?

@OddysChannel most of the people in SE Ukraine spoke both languages to some degree, at least before the invasion. Several million people have left the area, and the vast majority fled to the West, not Russia. I have no problem with a country having an official language, in fact I think the US should have one too. It does immigrants no good to not be able to communicate in the same language as everyone else, and those who actually become naturalized citizens of the US are required to learn English to some degree.
1
@joeylopez7978 you keep calling it a coup, when it was really just a corrupt coward fleeing what he perceived as imminent justice, though it probably would have been the same removal process that they went through with anyway, not a firing squad. He was literally a Russian agent. Where is he now? Google it.

@w8stral Trump screwed the pooch when he took the US out of the nuke deal with Iran. Those Iranian drones could be launching from Ukraine right now instead of toward it. The Supreme Council isn't as intractable as everyone in the West has been led to believe, they're more open to negotiation than you might imagine. Too bad Israel seems to have control of the USgov, that's the ultimate dealbreaker.
1
@AthenaTennosN almost like Russia has done it before, in recent history.
