IP laws are fine if the licensing regimes are reasonable and don't negate the labor advantage of developing countries. The problem as always is who determines what's "fair"

It's funny to me because I notice when these things each began happening, but when I brought it up people in comment sections told me I was imagining things. First was creators who were never on camera started appearing for whatever reason, then the hand gestures, now the mic thing.

@jolp9799 how about Juul and Elfbar are equally bad? Because it's possible for two things to be bad at once, just like Israeli and Russian settler colonialism.

@Ellis-Tor you didn't need to mention the US because we already know how it reacts.Yes, it's no different than the rest. No, DPRK, PRC and RF are no better.

@dannydetonator they're all dumb, it's true. As far as crack in particular, yes, it's highly addictive, but that's because the high is quite enjoyable. No one does drugs that make them feel terrible, at least not at first. Cocaine is far less addictive IMO, and it can absolutely be a special occasion party drug for most users from what I've seen over my four decades of partying. But even then, the political situation surrounding its distribution channels makes me not want anything to do with it. I'd prefer some domestic peanut butter crank to imported coke that's laced with the blood of South American children, and crank is a better value anyway. Now only if I could find some around here...

@nutzeeer energy density. Lithium is stable and dense compared to other elements that are one or the other or neither.

@pranavvignesh9298 the problems with lithium? For one it's not in the global north so it's subject to political instability and second it's a dirty process just like coal mining. No matter what the imperial core will benefit the most from it, and it will leave a pit of slag behind it.

@TheSevien single family zoning is a local problem, the US isn't like Canada where you can do a national ban nor is it necessary.

@adampliszka4855 hey there comrade, I smoked for 22 years and stopped without replacement therapy. I'm not especially smart or endowed with incredible willpower, so if I did it then anyone can. Smoking is stupid, and vaping is too. I was stupid for starting smoking in the first place, and I've never met a smoker or nicotine user who claims otherwise. Maybe stop enabling the mindset and start encouraging healthy options if you truly care about people.

@GiaZera sodium is even more reactive than lithium, not a good choice for consumer electronics that are subject to the abuse we deal unto them. Also they're even more temperature sensitive, not good for year round use in areas that experience 30 degree temperature variations (120 in freedom units.)

@TruthHurtsAJP we could fix that with the political will to make it happen. Too bad lefties have cashed out on electoral politics and let the fascists win by default. Schadenfreude isn't winning any battles for us.

@eduards2790 Japan is still carrying a 3 or 4 to one debt to GDP ration since the collapse of 1990. Imagine the US not recovering from 2009...

@zhcultivator you didn't need to ask three times, and the answer is maybe

@Noms_Chompsky honestly, contemporary history is a thing that needs to be taught more rigorously. People also forget that Carter deregulated trucking, but before that he opened the door for religious kooks into presidential politics. And yeah, Reagan opening the US up further to China meant they didn't need to socialism as hard, so now they have a lifetime dictator instead.

@SorowFame sooner or later Chrysler will just remake the same old thing anyway

Vietnam is coming out like Diana Ross. Oh yeah, and they are actual socialists so PRC hates them more than ever.
