  10. It doesn't really make much sense that horseback hunting by Native Americans could have depleted the herd, since it also eliminated the need for corralling and jumps. Once they had horses, their ability to harvest bison would have been much closer to their actual needs. It theoretically could go from a series of seasonal culls and massive waste to what we would call a just-in-time supply chain today.
