  4. I spent nine years in college, and I only have one degree to show for it -- a worthless one. I have had a successful career in technical writing, but my college studies contributed almost nothing to that. It's a combination of natural ability and self-taught knowledge. The college courses that did the most to prepare me for my career were the three semesters of logic that I took as electives, for fun.

Which came first, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day? The truth is that most people don’t know or care very much about holidays and their history. It doesn’t really have much relevance to their daily lives, unless they get a day off from work.
