  1. Round 3. Harris ran for president in the 2020 election, and failed disastrously. She dropped out of the race on December 3, 2019 because her campaign had run out of money. At that point, she was polling at 6%. Her political career should have ended right there, but Biden picked her as his running mate because of her gender and skin color. She was a diversity hire.
