  3. Just buy an all-wheel drive CT6 or a frigging huge 6.2L Escalade. This XT6 has zero presence, zero gravitas. It's not going to impress the boys at the golf course or the yacht club.... or at the valet at the night club, for that matter.

  4. Cheapened the mechanicals by dropping the IRS and upgrading the interior. The hatchback is overly bulbous, like an Alfa-Romeo. The 3 sedan is more elegant. For a little more money, I'd buy a Mazda 6..... I have no need for AWD here in the desert.

  7. I will miss the Impala. My parents owned several, starting with a '57 coupe and a '60 convertible. I've often enjoyed driving them as rentals. The next oil price shock (likely a hot war between Saudi Arabia and Iran) will kill the current buying trend of big trucks and SUVs driven around by short blonde soccer moms, and tall 5 door hatchbacks posing as crossover SUVs...

  13. Fellas, sorry about the Thrifty 3. It's no longer the least bit thrifty. The arrangement with State Farm and Tesla using this one auto body shop in Denver needs to change. The shop likely ordered the wrong glass, after breaking the glass in the first place. Tesla is incompetent, I agree.... but feeling that the shop has some craftsmanship and ordering problems too. Hopefully, you get the car back ASAP. Kinda surprised that Tesla hasn't stepped in and provided you with another vehicle from their press pool. This makes Tesla look bad.....
