  11. Liking the styling of the refreshed Sonata. Not at all surprised that it may not be sold in the US and replaced by the EV6 sedan. Hyundai has positioned itself (alongside Genesis and Kia) for the electrified future. It has ALOT of work to do on its public image after the explosive engines and engine compartment fires fiasco. And its shady dealership network issues/reputation 😮

  12. The proportions of this version of the Crown is all wrong. The wheels are too big and the black plastic cladding is hideous. The two tone paint makes it look worse. Toyota should have sent us the Crown Sedan instead. I like the looks of the Signia

  23. As a former Mazda 6 owner, I miss it deeply. But it was never a great seller in terms of being competitive with the Altima, Fusion, and Camry, despite being a driver's sedan. Personally, I'm viewing the upcoming CX70 as its replacement.

  24. Needs longer range... would definitely go for the luxury trim, but it's priced close to model Y territory. I personally love the ether blue and black two-tone paint scheme. Very good review, Kirk.

  26. People, the electric power grid cannot grow as fast as the US electric vehicle fleet. This is the ultimate issue. Unless there is a huge boost in the numbers of NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS (which are zero carbon emitting, but generate nuclear waste via spent fuel rods), NONE of the federal government standards are going to become reality. None! We not only lack a robust vehicle charger infrastructure, we also lack a rapidly scalable power grid. It's a pipe dream. 🤪🤠😵‍💫😵

  30. The ripoff brick and mortar dealership model is DEAD. People are buying Teslas for the sales model and charging infrastructure. Buyers of EVs are higher educated and wealthier than average, the huge majority are homeowners, and they HATE the dealership bullcrap and the uninformed shady sales staff.

  32. Mazda needs a joint production agreement with Ford again. The Flat Rock plant has all kinds of excess capacity.... build the new CX5 there and whatever else Mazda can squeeze into the plant. This entire tariffs war is a complete 💩show. The American consumer is going to end up paying for the tariff fees.

  38. The Soul is a great car for the mobility impaired. The doors are huge, the hip poiint is fairly high, and the cargo aeea has lots of space for a folding wheel chair or a walker. Price point is low, but getting insurance on a Kia is problematic in several states 😮

  39. I'm actually excited more by the Corolla Cross hybrid. But Toyota moving the Prius a little upmarket is a good idea 💡 to differentiate it from the Corolla Hybrid. The 2 liter gen 5 Hybrid system is definitely a great improvement. 👍

  40. Kirk. I have to agree with you that the best value proposition is the "base" Land Cruiser. But honestly, its WAY WAY to much money! Because dealerships will have markups. I'll take a fully sufficient CX-50 to meet my needs please. 😮

  41. There's little to no appetite for an ultra luxury minivan in the UNITED STATES. Perhaps the livery/limousine industry would have some interest, but that's not a big market.

  46. CHR is a bizarre car. Originally a youth oriented Scion model, I only see middle aged women driving them. It does nothing well. Not fast, polarizing styling, no AWD, no hybrid. I prefer the more conventional Corolla (Hybrid) hatchback to the CHR. Honestly, I don't think that North America will get a next-generation of the CHR. It's sales are now terrible and it was never as big of a hit here as it was in Japan.

Nobody wants badge engineered French cars of questionable reliability
