  2. $38k is way too much, but FCA usually puts a lot of cash on the hoods of its products, especially the Compass and the Renegade. That 9 speed craptastic transmission is known for early failures, BTW. Resale value on Compass is abysmal, recommend a RAV4 for better quality and residual value
