On a regular basis (at least once-twice a year) stories come out predicting Doom You Die I Die The Girl Dies We All Die, because of climate change (sources on request). So fat their track record is perfect...Wrong Every Time. What you should do is read/watch what (say Judith Curry, Richard Lindzen, Roger Pielke say. What what is written About what they say, but what they say. Also you can find debates on this on You Tube. On a level playing field the Alarmists lose.

  18.  @coryb8796  Back in the late 70's early 80's I looked into the LP. You comment petty much sums it up. On one side there is Ideology. On the other Electability. On domestic issues I find myself often agreeing with the LP, but their candidates never get elected. The largest 3rd party in the country. There was a saying back when I was a kid that applies "That and twenty five cents will buy you a cup of coffee."

  27.  @swayne1441  I looked at The Libertarian Party in the late 70's early 80's. Nothing has changed. God Bless The Libertarian Party. But lets be Real, its not a Real Political Party. Its a Debating Society. There is nothing wrong with that! Let's not pretend they are going to win elections. It would not surprise me to see them split into two different groups.

  28.  @23wtb  You could be right. In electoral politics thee is Ideology and (for lack of a better term) Practical Politics. A real political Parry balances them. It appears (from the outside) Libertarians don't do this. Its all about having the correct views 90% of the time. A Real Party will look at an election (any election local/state/national) try to figure out what the voters want and adjust (Spin?) their message so to appear to the largest number of voters. Libertarians don't, which is why I say they are not a Real Political Party, they are a Debating Society. On this Balance thing. This is why the Democratic is in such horrible shape. They let one wing (The Progressive Wing) Take over the Party. They would be in even worse shape if it wee not the own the Corporate Media, and we Republicans have a tendency to shoot ourselves in the foot fairly regularly. Example John McCain..Mitt Romney come to mind. Youtube is not a good place to hold any kind of in-depth discussion on this or other topic. My I recommend "The Right Reasons.net" We are a Small site, I'm a moderator there screen name Valin. Feel free to drop by, we do have some Libertarians there.

  32. A couple of points if I may...in no particular order 1. I was born in 1948. On the day I was born you could have made a good that America was racist. It was certainly segregated, and I'm not just talking about The South, but sea to (expletive deleted) shining sea. NEWS FLASH: its not 1948 any more! Heck its not even 1978 any more. *I've watched this country change (for the better) on the subject of Race. 2. I've been a card carrying member of the Conservative movement since the late 1970's (thank you Jimmy Carter). When it comes to someones Race, it does matter to us. It matters about as much as if you are Left or Right Handed. We on the Right don't Do Groups well, we Do Individuals....what kind of Person are you, not what is your Race/Gender. 3. There are basically 2 groups of people who care about someones Race. The KKK/White Supremacists & Progressives/Democrats. Neither of which have much to do with Conservatives/Libertarians. *Although there is still a bitter debate on which is better NASCAR, Formula One or Drag racing. :-)
