Comments by "" (@stevenwiederholt7000) on "The King James Version: Translating the World's Most Popular Book." video.
In reading so many of the negative comments here I have to ask myself a couple of questions 1. How many have actually read/studied the Bible or talked to Christians about what we Actually believe and Why we believe it? 2. I wonder how many understand the culture/civilization they live in are based on that book? ie. the value of Every Person, Freedom of Speech, a rational understandable universe. I suspect the answer is (for the most part) no.

Findlay Robertson That says more about the pastor than it does about the Faith. As Nikolia says feel free to ask. *Now I may not have an answer, but I'll give it a shot. * I been called many things..rarely has that been....The Brightest Bulb On The Tree.

@glennso47 I've been a follower Of Jesus for 47 years now, 1 question I've asked myself is Why aren't more (seemingly intelligent) people followers? 2 answers have occurred to me (in no particular order) 1. Just because someone in a Christian does not prevent them from being..well A Jerk. Very often we Christians are our own wort enemy. 2. "It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul." Invictus William Henley If/When you become a follower of Jesus you are no longer in charge of your life. And for some that is a Deal Breaker.

@kevind3185 Why Yes I do. 2 reasons (among many) It allows he to answer with the smallest leap of faith 2 questions. 1. How Do You Get Something From Nothing? 2. How Do You Get Life From Non-Life?

Stefano Dawg Thing is Many Christians alive at that time, thought it was talking about them, and their time. Funny thing, the Old Testament talks a lot about the Messiah when/where/how/who the Messiah was going to be, and many many people Knew exactly how the Coming was going to happen. They Were Wrong. I suspect the same is true today. 47 years ago I became a A Christian and at that time I was told (with great authority) that This was The End Times, now it may very well be, BUT here we are 47 years later.

@kevind3185 You do of course understand just who came up with The Scientific Method? You Might Want To Look At This, Then Get Back To Me. Michael Strauss - God, Particles, and the Cosmos [Entire Talk] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDY9lWYNZi8&t=36s

@akyhne "But you can't prove any god, you can't assert, that it must have been a god that did it." Absolutely Correct!! However either can it be proved that God didn't. What we Can do is provide Evidence. Watch Please. Michael Strauss - God, Particles, and the Cosmos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDY9lWYNZi8&t=36s October 13, 2015) God is a concept which rarely finds any support from the scientists. Most of them don't even try to include the idea of God in the modern science. And of course, there are exceptions such as Dr. Michael Strauss, who tries to find a scientific explanation of God in his talk "God, Particles and the Cosmos". Dr. Michael Strauss is the Professor of Physics at the University of Oklahoma. Stefano Dawg Babylon 2? Basically my answer to this subject comes in 2 words Or..Not. Thing is a number of years ago I was "Volunteered" to do a study of end Times for a Small Group Bible I was a member of (It'll Teach me to Miss A meeting! :-)). What I found out was there are (basically) 3 views/schools of thought on this. They all have Scripture to back them up, they all have been dominant at one time or another, and they are mutually exclusive. I really don't spend a whole lot of time studying this anymore. Because of a small question I asked myself..."If You Knew For Certain that this IS The last times, what would you do differently in your life? What would you change?" I had to say...Nothing really. "if this virus mutates and really takes off, it will fulfill Revelation 18" 1 IF being the operative word 2. This is far from the 1st time this a "Pandemic" has happened. Contrary to what you read in the media, this one is not that bad. You Might Want To Look At This Power Line article Coronavirus in one state (5) https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/04/coronavirus-in-one-state-5.php So far here in Minnesota 29 have died, from Covid-19. There;s a term for this number...Rounding Error.

@akyhne "There's a very good reason for that, that I can already answer, without watching your video." “He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them. But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion." John Stuatt Mills It Appears you want proof. Well I can't give you proof. As i said earlier neither can you give me proof that materialism is true. What I can do is offer evidence (in the video) Seems to me This is a pretty important question (is there a god/gods or not) at least for those interested in The Truth. PS I am not surprised that you didn't watch, this is the normal answer for materialists. Don't you have an interest in what the opposition actually says and Why they say it?
1
@akyhne "Can you be a scientist and believe in God?" Yes, as long as you are not asserting that unanswered question validates the insertion of a God, e.g. "We don't have an answer, therefore God". But There are theological Implications. IF materialism is Not True, and there is good Evidence that its not, the question must asked..then how did we get here? "The video has several quotes from scientists that were/are all religious. This is a common argument for God, but not a valid one." And many quotes from Non-religious scientists, the problems with materialism. And one Alan Sandidge who came to faith in Jesus based largely on his studies in astrophysics.

@akyhne Last part: At 36:25 "Science is about what you can observe, not about what you think." Well,he just debunked his whole 'lecture' there! How So? He spent most of this lecture talking about what he (and others) Observed. Based on those observations he came to a logical conclusion. So how did he debunk his lecture? And yes I'm giving you a (Highly Sought After) attaboy....ATTABOY! :-) This is (in my experience) a rare occurrence on You Tube particularly...a Civil conversation. Disagreeing WITHOUT being disagreeable.
