  6. 1. I don't believe Kyle Rittenhouse did anything worthy of the charges brought against him (Exception the misdemeanor fire arm charge). That said, and I have said this from the beginning. He Should Not Have Been There. While (I believe) he had the Best Of Intentions, That in the middle of a riot is No Place for an amateur...which is what he was.

Towards the end they had Gary Hart on (remember him?) and he said "I believe we are on a cusp of history (I think this was made right at the end of the Cold War). SUDDENLY all these images and thoughts came flooding in. Ever since I've been trying to put it into 25 words or less..with no success. Its a way...a lens to look at everything that has been happening in the last...30-40? years. Collapse of Political Parties...GWOT...Rise of Nationalism...Well EVERYTHING. It requires us to step back and look at the forest..not the trees. At any rate It works for me.

  10. (God Bless Libertarians!!!) The problem I have with the Libertarian Party is its not a Real Political Party. Its a debating society (nothing wrong with that). I say this because they never (or very rarely) get Libertarian candidates elected. There's a good reason why people like Rand Paul, Mike Lee run as Republicans not Libertarians. They want to get elected.

  17. Culturally, Politically seeing less & less room for live and let live...lose today, there another battle tomorrow. The tribes are sorting themselves out. The Tribes are not Left/Right, Rich/Poor/Republican/Democrat, Minority/Majority, Religious/Non-Religous. Not sure how to describe Our Side from Their Side, but of this I am sure there are US & THEM. I am fairly sure who is an US and who is a THEM. The way I have been looking at politics/culture may not be valid anymore, or are becoming Less Valid. One mans thoughts, freely give and worth Almost that much.

(I believe) it was Michael Barone who said "Only once in the post war period has a party held the White House for more than 2 terms, Reagan/Bush.". At the start of the GOP primary I was telling people "Whoever wins this primary WILL be President." I didn't think it was going to be Trump. When he won the primary I kept telling people ignore the polls..donald Trump WILL win. PS. Assuming Trump wins in 2020 the next President will be a Democrat.....but (as always) I could be wrong.

On You Tube I will often ask a Simple questions/sttements..."Why Do You Say That?...Cite your Sources....Give me 3 examples," I get back something like "I'm not doing Your Work For You...Google It...Everyone Knows That." A certain number of people go (for lack of a better word) Insane. Politicians in response to the Media and the Insane, react by shutting down large parts of society/the economy...(249 people in a group, you're safe, 251 Everyone dies. If you want a drink or dinner out...You're gonna die.). Then to (try) a solve the problem they created by panicking and reacting to the insanity they say they are going to Give me $1,000. Where we might reasonably ask will they get this money? Why from the magical money tree of course! Now I'm gonna go hide in my closet in case the Covid-19 (or maybe Covid-20!) comes marching down my street, slaughtering everyone in sight."

I don't have a link (sorry), but I believe it's still on Youtube. The thing to always remember with these "Debates" is they are not to provide helpful Information to voters. They are to get a candidates Talking Points Out...and Not Screw The Pooch.
