  2. Words of wisdom for today "The World War 2 Generation was a tough committed, loving country loving believing in freedom group of people. We were raised that was taught that way all though school. It was something our teachers emphasized constantly and the historical parts of our country. I had to memorize the Gettysburg Address, and recite it time and time again, because it had such a meaning that of people who had sacrificed their lives, to maintain one of the most precious gifts we have, that of our freedom. So the people today need to remember that if we ever lose it we will never ever be able to regain it." Alas I see so many today who don't understand this.

  5. On Brotherhood & My Guys: I was a Security Policeman in the AF, obviously I experienced NOTHING remotely like what David and has guys went through, but one thing I did learn is how to get along with and work with people I had Nothing in common with but The Job.

  8. My sister-in-Law, he older bother was a Maine at Chosin. When I knew him he was quiet very reserved kind of a loner. Carol told me before he went to the Marines he was a outgoing fun loving life of the party kid. When he came back...completely different person. When I came back from the ROK he would open up A Little, just enough for me to know He Went Though HELL. I will say this Winter in Korea at best is bad (The Hawk will kick your ass!), and that's without people tying to KILL you.

  10. @Max Corder I did a tour in Korea (12 months 30 days, 13 hours 6 minutes 48 seconds NOT that I was counting) One of the things we wee told was DO NOT mess with the locals! If they like you (you show them respect) you are Golden, if they don't, best keep a Low Profile.
