So many people equate higher spending per pupil with better schools, better educated student. Not necessarily true.

Property tax not a problem for renters? Just Who do you think Pays that Property Tax? Landlords don't pay it, they collect it.

@ICXCTSARSLAVY Part of the problem (and not just DC) is the money goes to the school, not the student. One answer would be to have The Money follow the student, and let them have school choice. Bring some competition into the system.

@ICXCTSARSLAVY Someone has been watching Mike Rowe! :-) "so they aren't left feeling forgotten and hopeless"....until the sewer backs up. Then you become The Hero of the day. Thing is I spent my working like out on the factory floor, Never really ran into people concerned about how Society Felt about us.
