  14. Can the PRC invade Taiwan? Yes, but at what cost? 2 points, 1. The last time the PLA was involved in a Real war was 1979, against Vietnam. They Lost. 2. Amphibious operations are very difficult to do, even assuming you have experience doing them (which the PLA doesn't).

And many of the very same people who have been crying Bring Them Home, will be screaming for blood when the next attack happens. There are 3 small questions that occurred to me shortly after the invasion of Iraq. IMO they still need to be asked and answered. 1. What Do You Want? 2. How Do You Get It? (most importantly) 3. Then What Happens? We are pretty good at 1-2, very often 3 never even occurs to people. At least not on any serous level.

  22. I'm being a bit simplistic here Part of the problem here is, in a war one side wins and the other side loses. In this war (Israel v Arabs/Palestinians) Neither side has been allowed to win or lose. So on it goes.
