Economics, prestige etc + Yes the hostile and remote regions of Tibet, Gobi and Taklamakklan deserts are all under development for China's new expansion interests. That ultra modern railway in hostile barren Tibet sounds most impressive! 🚂👍👍😯 Jeremy clarkson himself describes China's roads as an 8th wonder of the world!
