  1. Nah, China backed North Korea during the cold war BUT the end result proved somewhat disastrous, China has a lot more in common with South Korea and Japan relative to wealth. This is pretty much a Deja Vu. Maybe China could "fulcrum" Afghnistan but rooting out corruption is A MAJOR step that's particularly slippery.... Catch my drift? I myself don't entirely buy the Taliban on their promises - They want ultra strict SHARIA LAW imposed, so any means of modernisation will be at the very least dampened 😕😑
