Much like America declared independence from colonial Britain🇬🇧 The Latin countries did the same with Spain🇪🇸 not long after indeed some of the US states and cities still retain their Spanish names - e. g. Florida, Texas, Arizona Dallas, San Diego, Los Angeles 😊, San Antonio
