  2. It wasn't fully understood even then. Given what it meant from his point of view he may have seen it as a threat to his career... Which of course it was in a literal sense, but from a PR point of view he likley wanted to keep it under wraps...until it was too late for him 😕😑 Or maybe he was in flat out denial (?)
