  2. Houses are just sitting unsold in my area. They used to be in pending status same day or next day. It was crazy. The market is crashing and people are lowering their asking price. Still not enough but it's getting there.

  20. Well said about better to have a good deal on the price of the house with high interest vs the other way around. I try telling people that but they can't grasp the concept. They are blinded/fooled by a good intrest rate. People will pay double and triple what a house is really worth if the intrest rate is low. Absolutely crazy.

  21. I was out bid on a few houses that I really wanted so i don't feel bad for them as their equity disappears and the house owns them. I'm still on the sidelines

I bought my first house in 2006 after Hurricane Caterina for 120,000 and 2 years later houses in my neighborhood were selling for around 40,000- 75,000 in Louisiana. My house appraised for 60,000 after the crash of 2008. I was stuck with the house. I ended up letting it go back to the bank and messed my credit up for 7 years. October this year i will be eligible for a conventional loan again but i will wait until the prices are right.

  29. Same here. Glad I'm still on the sidelines. Realtor I had was recommending I bid 50k over asking for a bidding war. I wasn't falling for that
