@ryanhutcheson1911 and that's the thing in all this people are missing if the nleague was just another way dudes could spend their year before goin to the league then ok but one of the proposed benefits of playin in the ignite is you get to go against g league teams against older dudes and even some former NBA guys and you get access to NBA level coaching and all that and so many were reporting this to be better than just going to college but as you said a lot of these guys come out the ignite just as raw as many one and done college guys lol

@lee9617 Paolo averaged 20 and 7 and won Roy granite his team didn't win much and his efficiency numbers definitely were a bit sub par but still to say he struggled is a lie

@ninocrown3247 honestly bro all facts good to see some dudes in this comment section Talkin facts I honestly think most of these dudes are hatin because it's become trendy to hate on the ncaa and while they are certainly not perfect overall thy are imo far and away the best option for guys who actually want to learn the game and develop. SKILL set and I completely agree everything with youth basketball now is centered around money and highlights so many coaches at the high school and aau level no longer teach the game and they damn sure don't teach fundamentals and so many of these kids today just care about makin it or getin a bag they just play the one year and then their off to the league regardless of where their actual game is at I'm of the opinion like you a lot of these guys would be way better served to spend an extra year in college actually seek real coaching and try to improve their game as opposed to basically just treatin college like another year of high school ball

@lee9617 he is a rookie on a bad team, with scoring guards who couldn't get him easier looks so his inefficiency while not ideal was excused to a certain extent

Also that's a good point you made about telfair cause plenty of people saw what he was doin in high school against high school level competition and immediately started projecting and prognosticating him to be that guy but as you go up levels you have to make sure your body mind and game are leveling up with you other wise you'll be exposed telfair was cool but was small was just an ok passer and the death nail.... Was not an outside shooter at that time and especially now a no no if your a small guard telfair really would have helped his career if he would have slowed down allowed his game to mature at a college for 2 ,aybe 3 years you mentioned marbury who like telfair was an absolute monster at the high school level but spent a year at college and ultimately wound up with a better career although some of that just had to do with as a prospect marbury was better than telfair bigger, taller better athlete better passer etc. but even marbury I think would have Been better served to chill out and stay at the for an extra season not so much to develop his body or even his game necessarily but his mindset marbury in the league was a little to much of a me first guy and that's another thing that gets underrated about college not only can you develop your physical game your "bag" but also your mental game how you approach the game

@lee9617 as a big rebounds matter shit as a team rebounds matter as it's one of the only way your team can gain possession of the ball it's one of the reasons we'll probably never see an all guard lineup in the NBA because that team would get annialatted on the boards and I don't know what magic team you were watching but their spacing was a big problem last year none of the guards on that team getting real minutes has a consistent 3 ball so combine the bad spacing with the fact with dude is a rookie and that can explain why his low percentages again while not ideal aren't the end of the world also lol your asking how can you take me seriously an yet you sat their and unironically ask me what is the big deal with a big who can hip in on the boards literally one of the most important parts of the game
